Founded on hard work, integrity, and vision, Abu Dhabi International Traders began as a humble retail shop established by Iqbal Sabri in Abu Dhabi in the early 1960s. Through determination and entrepreneurial spirit, he transformed the small business into Abu Dhabi International Traders (ADIT) in 1969, laying the foundation for what would become one of the UAE’s most trusted trading companies.

In 1980, Iqbal’s son, Kamal Sabri, joined the business, bringing fresh energy, innovation, and ambition to the company’s growing operations. Together, father and son worked side by side to expand ADIT’s reach and strengthen its reputation across the region.

One of the company’s defining milestones came when ADIT secured a strategic position with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), establishing itself as a trusted supplier within the oil and gas sector. This pivotal partnership accelerated the company’s growth and positioned ADIT as a preferred choice for clients throughout the UAE.

Under Iqbal Sabri’s leadership, ADIT became known not only for its commercial success, but for the values that shaped it — honesty, reliability, quality, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations. His ability to build lasting relationships and earn the trust of customers became the cornerstone of the company’s long-standing reputation.

Today, ADIT continues to grow under the leadership of Kamal Sabri and third-generation family member Zeeshan Sabri, who represents the company’s forward-looking vision for the future.

Having studied in Canada, Zeeshan Sabri holds a degree in Electrical Engineering along with qualifications in Business Management. He also earned his professional engineering designation (P.Eng), bringing over 15+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience across complex industrial and commercial projects.

With a strong understanding of both engineering practice and the supplier landscape within the electrical industry, Zeeshan brings a modern perspective to ADIT’s operations and long-term strategy. His vision is centered on expanding the company’s capabilities, strengthening industry partnerships, and driving ADIT toward new levels of innovation, growth, and excellence while preserving the values the company was built upon.
